Medical Interns' Perceptions and Attitudes During the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Qualitative Study

Objective: This study was designed to explore the potential association between severity of impact coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic on perceptions and attitudes among medical interns. Material Methods: The carried out as qualitative key informant semi-structured interviews, were enrolled from September-October 2020 using a convenience sampling used recruit nine interns at King Faisal University College Medicine, Saudi Arabia. Data analyzed qualitatively framework analysis. Semi-structured interviews performed in Microsoft Teams (online) for an average 21 minutes, English language utilized. A thematic analysis done identify main concerns about education loss. Results: Nine participants (4 male 5 female interns) interviewed. interview time averaged 18.4 minutes (range 17-21 minutes) mean age sample 24 (standard deviation 0.707) years. Interns more likely be anxious, panic-ridden, horrified, depressed, stressful disorganised due influence COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, has had interns' organization hospital rotation schedules. Furthermore, there is disagreement epidemic preparation Medical Licensing Exams. Conclusion: It should ensured that does not affect any rotations, by raising awareness through bundle educational courses.
